Cheer Leading Isn't so Easy!

Some people say cheer leading isn't a sport and it is easy. Well it's not easy! You have to do a lot. They need to know how to do round offs, front and back handsprings, and much more. Tumbling sometimes takes years of training.

All cheer leaders go through lots of pain. They experience sore arms and legs from so much practice! They also run the risk of broken bones because the sport is so hard on the body. Cheerleaders need to wear their hair up in a pony tail. My friend Regan once told me that she got a stiff neck from lots of hair spray!

So next time you go to comment on cheer leading, give it some thought. Don't say, "oh cheer leading isn't a sport." Also don't say that the sport is easy because it is not!

Why Are Spiders So Creepy to People?

Why do some people think spiders are kinda creepy? Is it their multiple eyes? Or maybe their abdomen ( The sack on the spiders back!)? It could be too, their eight legs. Maybe even the way they crawl on the ground.

Some spiders are poisonous! That's why I don't like spiders too much! Have you seen a spider web that is in a circle, that spider who made the web is called an Orb Spider! You know not all spiders make webs! Like the Trap Door Spider! It hides under mostly leafs. When food is outside of his door, he opens his shelter lid and..... snatches the pray! That is all for now you will have to wait for the next post about who knows what!

Do All Bees Die When They Sting?

A good sting from a bee is when it's venom sack remains with its stinger. If the bee loses its stinger, it with die without it. I will tell you about two species of bees.

Some species like the Honey Bee sting once and then die. The honey bee dies because it's stinger brakes off! A different type of bee, like the Bumble bee can sting as many times as it wants and not die! The Bumble Bee's stinger is smooth, so that's why its stinger doesn't break off when it stings!

So your question is history. Not all bees die when they sting! If you wonder about wasps and hornets, then you have to wait in till the next post!

Who Invented Pretzels?

Pretzels are very popular baked treats that is in a twisted cool shape! All a pretzel is made of is water, brown sugar, wheat flower, yeast, and sprinkled with salt and bake to a golden brown.

But who invented the pretzel? I will answer that question!

Pretzels were invented by monks! In the 17th century french, monks in Paris made these fun treats. The story is, the monks took bread dough and shaped the dough into twirly loops. The shape of the pretzel was supposed to represent a child's arms folded in prayer.

The monks gave the baked goods to children as rewards for being faithful. Pretzels were called pretiola, a Latin word meaning little reward.

What are Pianos inside?

Do you ever wonder how a piano makes its sound? Well I am going to tell you

In a piano, a harp is on the inside. A little hammer hits the harp's string when you play a key. Also, do you know the big baby grand pianos? The harp inside is laying down! The upright piano, the harp inside is standing strait up!

Question of the day

Can Turtles FLY?

So some people say no, they can’t fly! I am going to give you my take on the facts about turtles. Some like water, and some don’t. They have a shell, no antennas, and no tentacles! They are reptiles. But the question still remains, can turtles fly?

Guess what? Yes they can! When they swim it is called flying. If you thought I meant flying through the air, then no because they don't have wings!
